Personalisation, in practice
One rule to know before you order.
Published on
A first name and a number, on the hockey sweaters only, for €5 more. And one rule to know before ordering: a garment carrying a first name cannot be taken back.
Which items can I personalise?
The eight hockey sweaters and hoodies — unisex, women and children, in heather grey and club blue.
The other collections cannot. A Club, Tennis or Padel sweater carries the crest or the badge of its section, without a name. That is a choice: personalisation makes sense in a changing room where ten identical sweaters sit on the same bench, less so in the stands.
What exactly gets printed?
A first name, in the club typeface, up to 12 characters.
A number, from 0 to 99.
You can have both printed, or only one of the two. The €5 supplement is charged once, whichever you choose.
Accents work: Joëlle, Timothée, Loïc all print correctly.
First name or full name?
Take the first name, optionally followed by the initial of the surname.
That is the printer's advice: at the size the text sits on the garment, a long surname becomes unreadable from three metres. “Timothée V.” reads; a fifteen-letter name crowds together.
Twelve characters, spaces included, roughly matches that limit.
Can I see the result before ordering?
On the product page, type the first name and the number: the preview updates on the photo of the garment, at the real position and size of the print.
What you see is what goes to the printer. Read it again: this is the moment when a typo still costs nothing.
Can I return a personalised item?
A garment printed with your first name is unsellable for the club. The law also provides for this exception to the right of withdrawal for personalised items.
Made a mistake? Write to [email protected] immediately. As long as the order has not gone to the printer, we can correct it. After that, the garment is made and it is too late.
In practice you often have a day or two. Do not wait.
How long does a personalised order take?
Allow about ten working days between your order and it being available at the club.
This delay is not slowness: the garment does not exist before your order. It is made, printed, then delivered to the club. That is what allows every size in every colour without stocking hundreds of pieces that would end up discounted.
When you order, the webshop only offers you the collection slots that are genuinely achievable given that lead time.
In practice, the workshop regularly works faster than that. The site deliberately announces a wider margin: better that you arrive at the club and find your sweater ready than the other way round.
A mixed order?
If your basket holds a personalised item and an in-stock item, the whole order goes out together, at the pace of the slowest. To receive what is available sooner, place two separate orders.
